project overview
One of the aims of Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC) is to provide resources with a health literacy lens, and this includes reaching young adults and adolescents (AYA patients). LBC partnered with The Lindsay Foundation to receive funding to produce an updated blood cancer resource specifically for this age group. My Guide to Blood Cancer, Taku Aratohu ki te Mate Pukupuku Toto, is a booklet written to help describe to this age group what blood cancers are and speak to the challenges that they are facing in a language they relate to. The comprehensive 88-page booklet is proving to be an important resource for patients.
